What drives us?

Early language access empowers deaf and hard of hearing children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Yet, many still face limited exposure to language in early childhood, posing challenges to their development. By prioritizing access, we can ensure they have the foundation to learn and grow.

Parent of a Deaf Child

Your research is life giving. Every day I constantly wonder if I am learning and signing enough. The articles that are provided at my finger tips are invaluable evidence that what my husband and daughter and I are trying to do will pay off.

Mother of a deaf 1-year-old

Thank you so much for this work. As a hearing parent learning ASL, I have worried so much that I can’t give my child what he needs- this study has been SO reassuring that our effort to provide accessible language makes a difference even though it’s not perfect!
